Muller Family

We started the Muller Family Weekend on Friday evening by watching the horse races at Prairie Meadows. It brought back many memories of the Muller horses racing and I think Clayton and Wendell both wanted to claim a horse and start racing again. Then the next morning we met for breakfast and then onto Living History Farms. Here is the whole Muller family--Jennifer, Lee, Jillian, Wendell, Connie, Lauren, Melanie, Clayton, & Ann.

After Living History Farms everyone came over to our house for some grilling and family time. It was nice to spend time together as a family.

Happy 4th of July

I had to include these pictures of Lauren. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her friends and I thought these pictures were so precious.

Let Freedom Ring!

It was a wonderful 4th of July. The weather was much colder than any of us could remember. Who would think you would need a sweater for an afternoon 4th of July parade. We started at the Waukee parade. Here is Lauren, so excited for the parade to finally start (it was a little longer wait than expected)...

Lauren and Celie Gardiner patiently waiting with Clayton...

Then we went back to our house to join more friends. Here is Lauren with Connor McCoy taking a break on the deck. I love her excitement...

Enjoying the cool weather...

And finally sparklers!!! Followed by Waukee fireworks which we were able to watch from our backyard!!!

Adventureland

We decided to take a break from working on finishing our basement and took Lauren to Adventureland. Clayton and Lauren had so much fun on several rides. We couldn't believe how brave she was. There was only one ride she didn't really like (she didn't tell us she didn't like it until we got home and the ride made Clayton a little uneasy too). Here our little girl is on the Raging River. They got stuck under a waterfall and they both got soaked! Clay is in the blue shirt with his arm around our little girl.

Here they are starting on the balloon ride...a favorite of both.

You can barely see them up so high, but they are in the blue balloon in the back.

And finally in the nice calm lady bugs!

Govig Weekend continued

After swimming we enjoyed supper at the Bardwells. Big cousin Lauren loved reading to Micah and Kyler. This is something she does every night and she was so happy to have actual people to read to instead of her stuffed animals! So so cute!!!

Sunday morning we had brunch at our house. This is one of my favorite pictures. How big the kids look sitting around the table eating brunch together.

Govig Weekend continued

After the zoo we went to the Indianola pool. It is perfect for this age group. Lauren could touch the entire time and loved "swimming" in the water. She did attempt the slide a few times, but didn't really like it because it would get water in her eyes (that's why she's covering them in the picture).

Here she is sliding across the bridge.

Micah enjoying the water.

Kyler splashing around.

Lauren spent the majority of her time jumping off of this into the water. So much fun!
