Happy Birthday Meredith!

What a wonderful day! We were so happy to celebrate Meredith's 1st birthday. What a joy she has been to our lives. She has such a silly personality that makes us all smile. Her big sister is her best entertainment and Lauren couldn't love her more! Meredith was a real trooper for the busy day. She knew exactly how to open her gifts.

She did pretty well with her cake, even though she was exhausted.

Lauren was too busy playing, so this is one of the few pictures we got of her. She was just having too much fun!

As far as Meredith's 12th month info: She got 4 more teeth this month. She enjoyed a trip to Storm Lake. She continues to be loud and silly. She loves attention and is perfectly content as long as someone is paying attention to her. She loves loves loves food. She loves all food, but sweet potatoes, strawberries, watermelon and bread are her favorites! We finally started some formula this last month, which she doesn't mind. She takes 3-4 bottles a day and she is starting to wean off of that. She pulls herself up to everything and walks around everything. She will take steps from one place to the other, but hangs on most of the time. She refuses to walk (I think she could do it, but she throws a tantrum and throws herself on the floor). She will walk with Lauren only! She crawls up stairs with no problem! She loves bath time. Morning is her best time of day. She loves to flip through books. She can't go without her Ellie (pink elephant blanket). She loves to be outside and stroller rides.

Fair Time!

We spent a little quality time with Lauren and took her to the Fair! Even though it was a rainy day, we all had a lot of fun. Lauren loved the little helper farm and we had to visit the baby animal barn twice!

She couldn't believe that they could make a cow out of butter. "How did they do that?"

Lauren had to stop at every "photo opportunity" place and wanted us to take her picture, here are just a couple of them.

How cute is this girl?!

Meredith's pictures went rather smoothly, but she took too many cute pictures, which led to me spending too much money! She is worth every penny! The picture above is my favorite. I also got an adorable one in this same pose, but in black and white with only the flower and skirt in pink...so adorable!

This picture displays Meredith's personality. Happy with a little attitude and crazy hair!

Don't make me stand up! I am done!

Govig Family Weekend

King's Pointe Resort Rocks!!! Good pick Ryan & Tiffany! This place was awesome. I don't know who had more fun, the little fish or the big fish! There was an indoor and outdoor pools with fun for all ages! We celebrated Ryan's birthday on Friday and had so much fun! These kids love to play together and have so much energy. Lauren was such a brave girl and even went down a few of the big slides all by herself(which I don't have pictures of). No fear for this girl!!! The weather was wonderful and we all enjoyed some good ole Forced Family Fun! I can't wait to take them back when they are older too!

Here is a picture of half of the outdoor part.

Lauren, Ryan, Dad, Eli, Mom and Micah waiting for Rachel & Kedron to come down the water slide!

Here come Papa & Nana down one of the slides! (Note: Lauren went down this with Clay several times..No fear with the dark enclosed tube with twisting and turning and water shooting on your face)

Our attempt at a family photo at the nearby park.

These cousins are so busy! Kyler (2yrs), Lauren (4 1/2yrs), Micah (almost 3yrs), Eli (18 months old) and Meredith (11 months old)

Our family of four! We have 2 wonderful little fish!

The red and white slide was a favorite among the adults. It was like a toilet bowl..after you were shot out of the fast tube, you swirled around under you fell out the bottom. So much fun!

Here is Ryan swirling around.

Our little fish went down every big and little slide that they would let her go on. She would see the older kids try different things, so she would try it too. Those swimming lessons sure paid off!

Who is that man under the hat? Kyler.

Eli had so much fun and even when down some of the kid slides with Lauren.

Kyler loved talking to Meredith (aka "baby").

Micah and Lauren could have jumped all day!

What a big girl!
