Rockstar?!

Lauren got this guitar for her birthday from the Gardiners last night. When we got home she pointed to the radio, grabbed her guitar, and said "Mama, I gotta play!". I got a much better picture on my phone last night, but we played again tonight, so here you go!

Christmas with the Mullers

We spent Christmas day with the Mullers. Fun was had by all! Lauren was so excited to get more clothes to bring back to her washing machine.

Yeah! A Washing Machine!

After visiting Santa, we came home and sprinkled reindeer food on the front lawn so Santa would know where we lived.

The next morning...what a suprise...Santa brought Lauren her washing machine!!! She washed everything that morning. All of her presents were dirty and she needed to wash them. Then, according to Lauren, we had to put the washing machine right next to Mommy's so we can both wash clothes!

Santa, I know him!!!!

We went to visit Santa and Lauren LOVED him! After a LONG wait in line, Lauren ran right up to Santa, sat in his lap and asked him for a washing machine (she has talked about nothing else for the last month). Strange request, we know! Then she hopped down and enjoyed the train ride just as much! A fun evening for Lauren!

Happy 80th Birthday Grandma Govig!

Our plan for the weekend was to help Grandma Govig celebrate her 80th birthday on Saturday...but we were snowed in and couldn't make it. What a bummer! After an interesting drive from Sioux Center to Sioux City, we finally made it to see Grandma on Sunday! Yeah!!!

Lauren displaying her beautiful new jewels from cousin Gabby, Aunt Renee, and Uncle Michael!

Lauren and Gabby hadn't seen each other for so long and loved playing dress up together, talking about the latest news in 3-year old land, and lots of giggles! It was so much fun to see beautiful Gabby!

Christmas with the Govig's

We had our Govig Christmas at Ryan, Tiffany, and Kyler's house in Sioux Center this past weekend. We all safely arrived on Friday night to find that we were all snowed in Saturday morning. They had received 10 inches of snow and the wind drifted the roads in and there were times that you couldn't even see to the street! But we finally were able to have our "Govig Forced Family Fun Weekend"! We had a great time playing games, watching movies, and just spending good family time together.

The 3 Govig kids with our 3 kids: Rachel & Micah, Melanie & Lauren, and Ryan & Kyler.

The 3 cousins had so much fun playing with all their new toys!

It is amazing to see how much our little girl has changed. Here she is almost 3 years ago.

Lauren loved the new dollhouse from Daddy & Mommy! She has spent hours already putting every piece of furniture and every family member in their right spot (Mommy loves to play with it too!!)

Oh, the excitement as she peeked inside the dollhouse!

Lauren was so excited when it started snowing yesterday! She wanted to make a snowman, even though it didn't snow that much and eat all of the snow!

Lauren helps with harvest

Lauren had her first help at harvest by helping Clayton in the combine. She was so excited to get in the combine, but then realized there wasn't a whole lot to do but sit and watch. She thought it was neat when all the corn was unloaded into the wagon.

So I have finally broken down and decided to start a blog. We thoroughly enjoy following our friends and family through their blogs, so we thought it would be a nice way to share our family too (we know you are really only interested in Lauren though). We may not be the best at keeping up with our blog, but we will try.
