Happy 6th Birthday Lauren!

Better late than never....Happy 6th Birthday Lauren! You woke up early on your birthday (5:30am), so we decided to go ahead and open your gifts from Mom, Dad and Meredith before Mom and Meredith left for work/school. So yes, these pictures are at 5:45am at our house! For your birthday dinner you decided to go eat Mexican...surprise..surprise!

Lauren you make me so proud! I can't believe that I have such a beautiful, caring and thoughtful 6 year old! You have a soft heart and I love that you still want to sit in my lap and give hugs and kisses! I hope that you never lose that wonderful affectionate quality! We have enjoyed listening to your conversations as they mature. You love school and you are growing up so quickly! You have become a little shy in situations where you don't know people.

I love your sense of adventure and your love for the outdoors! You love to be outside whether it is playing on your swing set, helping me garden, riding your bike, helping Papa with the chores, looking for deer (you typically spot something before any of us do) going on walks...you love and appreciate nature. You want to hunt as soon as we let you. You also have a soft spot for animals. You love to watch to get your hands on any animals that you can. You love to play outside with Rusty and any other animal that you can...no temperature restrictions!

You are a bit of a hoarder, but have a place for everything. You like to line your cars and Princesses/Barbies up in your particular order.

Your memory is amazing! You help me keep our life in order and remember anything that we have said. We can't get anything past you. You also have a wonderful sense of direction. You always know your way around.

You are obsessed with Barbies right now! Barbies, Barbie books, Barbie movies, Barbie clothes, Barbie stickers, anything Barbie. Your favorite color is blue...particularly turquoise. You love sequins and sparkles and graphic tees. You love braids in your hair. Your favorite food is Mexican...quesadilla and rice with corn. Other favorites include mashed potatoes and gravy, apples, steamed veggies (not raw) especially green beans, cauliflower and broccoli, pancakes/waffles and chocolate chip/M&M/oatmeal cookies, cheese pizza, cottage cheese. You don't like cake, ice cream, peanut butter, tomatoes. You are a little picky. You don't like everything mixed together. For example, spaghetti you like everything separate..noodles, sauce, meat.

You love your friends (old and new) and wish you could have someone over everyday.  You love soccer and gymnastics. You flip over everything at home...couch, bed, ottoman. You are constantly doing cartwheels and round offs.

You are always hot and hate sleeping with pants on. Your socks come off the minute you walk inside the door. You prefer leggings over jeans and you like to wear dresses.

You love to play board games and watch movies. You love to dance and sing. You are always playing music.  You love to be silly and let loose. I hope you never lose that quality.

You are a bit more tired since you started Kindergarten, so you go to bed pretty early. You also get up EARLY. Around 5:30-6am everyday!

You have lost 4 teeth and your 2 front teeth are loose.

You are polite and you know when you need to behave...most of the time. You are the BEST big sister. You are always looking out for Meredith and want to hug and kiss her all the time. You tell me that "It makes you want to cry when Meredith cries". You love her so much. You let her have whatever she wants and most often than not, you don't complain about it. She is super lucky to have you in her life.

You like to help cook and take care of others. You like to scrapbook and draw pictures. You love to write in your books. I have books full of your "writing".
