Coloring Eggs

The girls had fun coloring Easter Eggs.

They each made an egg for one another. A "L" for Lauren and "M" for Meredith.
 Levi enjoyed watching.

6 months old

Wow! Half a year already. Levi, we love you so much. You are a such a joy to our crazy family. You started the month off with the end of your respiratory virus but bounced back pretty quickly. We love how laid back you are. You have the best smiles and you love to give them to all of us (although you continue to hold them back for the camera). You are a little grabster now and get ahold of anything in your hands reach...toys, hair, necklaces, food from the table, paper, hair, strings from our hoodies.  You love to put everything in your mouth. You weighed 17 lbs and 6 oz at your 6 month appointment.
You love your exersaucer and jumperoo.  Developmentally, you have changed so much. You are now sitting for periods of time. You love your new view of the world and you love to be in the center of it. You carefully and quietly observe everything and everyone around you. You are very aware of your surroundings and you are often distracted by all of the action while eating.
You LOVE, LOVE, LOVE food. You still nurse every 3-4 hours during the day. You eat more rice cereal than I could ever imagine a little boy to eat. You have 2 huge servings every day. We just started food and so far no complaints yet. You often fall asleep at the strangest times and within seconds. Usually in someone's arms or in your high chair. Your night time sleeping is still inconsistent. You have had a few stretches of sleeping 10-12 hours at night, but then you have stretches where you still get up once a night. You are a growing boy and want your food!

Your hair continues to remain crazy. I had to cut your side fliers on your 6month celebration. I'm sure there could have been a better candidate to tackle that job!

You love to sit with someone and watch what is going on. You are very loved and you love your sisters so much!

We're still here

I apologize for the delay in posting. Long story short, I have had some major technical issues that did not allow me to post pictures (and who are we kidding...that's all you want to see anyway, right?) Any way...yes, we are still alive and I will try to catch you up on the last 2 months. You probably won't even recognize the girls...
These are some of my favorite pictures. All poses were determined by the girls...I especially love the wet head look (after showers). One can't help but smile!

Love my kids!

5th month

Levi, I know I say this all the time, but you are so stinkin' cute! We love you so much. You are becoming more interactive and more and more fun every day. You love to observe this crazy house. I often wonder what goes on in your mind. You had your 1st overnight out of our house (once in a hotel, once in a cabin). The first time you did great. The second...not so much (but you were getting sick). Your eyes are light grey /light blue. You think your cereal is just ok. You eat well every 3-4hrs during the day. You love it when I smother you with kisses. You are trying to roll from back to belly. You go to bed around 7pm and get up 1-2 times at night. You love to sit and hang with Dad. You LOVE to be sitting in someone's lap...you haven't figured out yet that you are the 3rd kid. You are awake much more during the day.

You are such a happy guy! I love to see your smile. You give your smiles to your family to easily and melt all of our  hearts.
You have crazy hair. You always have these hairs in the back that stand straight up. Love it!
You went swimming for the first time. You were unimpressed.
You love your sisters so much and they bring smiles to your face like no one else.
You love your toys and touching all of the buttons. You like to sit in your exersaucer. You like to try and crawl towards your ball. You are always reaching for something. You like to pull the music on your bouncy seat. You like to be up high in your high chair to watch all the action in our busy house. You love to watch your mobile in your crib. You are chewing on everything and we catch you trying to suck your thumb.
This month ended up tough for you. You had a respiratory virus that you handled fairly well. Nothing lots of cuddling, your monkey pacifier, more cuddling, Tylenol and albuterol breathing treatments couldn't fix. You wanted held so you could sleep and breathe (this way your secretions could drain out) and for just overall comfort. You stayed home from daycare for one week. You lost your appetite. You were a good sport...not too much fussiness, you just wanted held. Stupid bad flu season! The only good part...lots of cuddling with this cute little guy!

Rainbow what?

We have been running a Rainbow loom sweatshop in our house. Lauren has been cranking these out ever since she received the loom for her birthday. She loves her organizer (thanks, Govigs!) So far on the list are, the standard bracelet, fishtail, double fishtail, heart, ladder, starburst and probably more that I don't know about.
Here are the bracelets (and ring), just at our house. She has made several and given them to several people too, including the cutest little bracelets for Levi!

4th month

Levi, you have changed so much this month. You are much more inquisitive about your surroundings. You love to sit with mom or dad and watch what is going on. You helped Lauren celebrate her 8th birthday. You have had a couple more days at daycare now and you are doing fairly well. You don't sleep much there, but you are content. You take your bottles well there (usually 5 oz). You continue to nurse every 3-4hrs (when you are not at daycare) during the day. Your digestive system still prefers a dairy free diet. You slept 9 hours at night twice but not since then. Your go to bed around 7:30-8pm rather easily with your mobile and pacifier. You still get up a few times at night, usually around 12 and 3-4 and a few times in between wanting your pacifier back in your mouth. We often find you holding your monkey pacifier in your hand while trying to sneak your thumb in your mouth. You attended your first piano recital and slept through the entire thing ( your clumsy mom tripped while carrying you in your car seat and you went flying...safely though). Your eyes are light blue/light grey. Your hair always stands straight up in the back. You are very laid back and love to be talked to. You give smiles very easily, but stop when the camera is out. Your sisters and mom really make you smile. You love your swing. You enjoy grabbing toys on your activity mat. You had your 1st big belly laugh. You had your 1st cold/stuffy nose. You did well except at night when you had difficulty sucking your pacifier and breathing at the same time. You are very happy. If you are fussy, you usually just want to eat or have someone pay attention to you. You weighed 15lbs. 2 oz at your 4 month check-up.

You love to be up high in your high chair and watch us cook, eat, and hang out in the kitchen.
With the Govig cousins (since the computer malfunctioned prior to the Govig Christmas). Eli (4 1/2), Meredith (4), Levi, Kyler (5 1/2), Kale (2), Micah (6) and Lauren (8).
You celebrated your 1st Christmas and New Years. You met Great Grandma Johnson for the first time and "talked" to her for quite a while.

You tried rice cereal for the first time on January 12th and LOVED it! You acted as though you have been eating it for months.
